Situation: I do not do much with attribute measures, so I am rusty on that aspect. I need to get an estimate on sampling sizes soon, so I am asking if I’m doing this right — while at the same time frantically reading .
Estimate is that id 1,133 boxes that 8 pcs were packaged about 20% of the time. What is the sample size that would estimate the true % with 95% confidence.
I’m looking at Breyfogle’s Implimenting 6-Sigma, pg. 429, the formula for n. Used Ua=1.645 delta 9=.05, p=.8 Got 173 boxes.
Like I said, pressure here, am I on the right track?0
