It is possible to promote BB to MBB without MBB certificate?

Of course it is, as long as the BB has all the attributes that is needed to be a MBB (trainor/mentor/doer/leader etc etc)
a certificate is merely a piece of paper – you can make one on word or PPT in 2 minutes, doesn’t mean you earned it though.

My PhD in Phylosophy (Philosophy) was a sarcastic ‘take’ on getting a certificate i.e. A certificate is a piece of paper that can be made in 2 minutes on Word, but is worthless ( a la BB gaining a piece of paper to call him/her self a MBB) without the knowledge you actually need to earn that certificate.
I didn’t mean to be patronizing, oh, by the way patronizing means…..
(get my drift?)

If the later, glad to have you and look forward to your posts. Of course, I agree with your statement that any idiot can get a piece of paper and frankly many can be certified without any real demonstration of knowledge or skill. The lack of a real common body of knowledge and approach to certification hurts our profession but what’cha gonna do?

No, I am not grammatically challenged, i prefer to call it ‘slight of hand’ i.e. pressing post message before reading it. Pedantic – can be, sarcastic – like to be & cynical – almost certainly. I just cannot for the life of me understand why people post stuff like ‘what is six sigma?’ i can actually see ‘new to six sigma’ (left) while i write this, there was a fair bit of mirth as i read your reply! another one ‘what companies are certified’? – what is that all about?
There just has to be something done about aligning certification worldwide, to split the curd from the whey, until this happens, there will always be muppets walking around with a non-sensical piece of paper proudly showing it to all, without knowing what they need to do to actually earn it. or proudly inserting ‘Six Sigma Blackbelt’ beneath their name when sending out e-mail……i suppose they will all get found out in the end, but they drag companies (& reputation) down on the way
