    Hi Everyone !
I came across advertisements from Benchmark Six Sigma in India offering Black Belt training programs.
As i m keen to take up Black Belt certification, I would to gather feedback from the group on their experiences with such trainings and if it has a good brand name, recognition internationally, etc
    Regards, Certification GB

This Black Belt training program has missed the most important component of Six Sigma; the ability to apply the tools learned in the classroom and complete projects which deliver measurable business impacts. I was Black Belt certified by GE, I was in the Black Belt role for two years before certification. I think a Black Belt certification achieved in eight days would not be too widely recognised…
Good luck with your training and Black Melt Certification.

Hi,I have completed GB & BB both from Benchmark Six Sigma, they are one of the most reputed Institute for Six Sigma trainings, the quality of their trainings is at par with global standards, there application oriented training program not only gave me a good understanding of the subject it also further helped in my career progression. According to me it was the clarity of subject given to me by benchmark, which helped me to make a mark in the Six Sigma sphere. They have a good international recognition as well, as the batch which I had attended had global participation; I think one of the group was from UAE Exchange (Dubai) attending my batch.

All fine and dandy, except for one little thing…
There is no global standard for 6S.   Methinks this is a series of AD spam postings…

    Stanly/ATI/Marlon, DOG SXXT, etc…,
I disagree about the need for Global standards.   Globalization (i.e. an offshoot of stated Marxist-Leninist collectivist theory) may go over well in the east, but not so much in truly free societies.   human kind can’t even agree on norms, morays, government types, etc…what makes you think you could get a truly global consensus on standards?
    Naivete’…
My take on it is simple…Poseurs and sub-standard implementations will be seperated from successful implementations like chaff from wheat.    A “Laissez Faire/Ayn Randian” hands-off approach is my preference. Ths approach will winnow out the fakers in time.

Did you mean they are one of the most ill reputed? An 8 day BB course
with no demonstration of skills? What a joke.

You said – ” I have found that Benchmark Six Sigma delivers a much
better overview on six sigma as compared to other institutions.”And what other institutions have you attended courses with?None? Wow, your opinion means a load to me. A load of poop that is.

What about the ISO (International) standards?

What about ISO?   ISO is highly-dependant upon solid Certifying bodies.   DNV has high standards, others do not…I’ve visited many companies that basically bought their ISO cert…The reality of their corp culture was 180 degrees out from true ISO adherance.
