What would be the best way to calculate the bias for a gauge?

    Rahul,
Compare the measurements of your gage to a standard (NIST traceable).  The difference between what your gage reads (on an average) and what it should read (the standard or reference value) is the gage bias.
Ideally, you should have 2 or 3 of these standards that cover the full range of operation of your gage.  You could possibly have bias at the low end and none at the high end.  This information could prove important dependent upon which area of the gage your data fall (high end, low end, or the middle).
The AIAG manual on MSA goes into detail about gage bias.
    Hope this helps.  Good luck.
    Scott
