We’re trying to get our company’s support in our new Six Sigma program.  We’d like to send some type of desk accessory to our remote offices to keep it fresh in their mind.  I can’t find any products anywhere that say “Six Sigma” on them.  I don’t know if this is somehow a copyright issue.  Does anyone have a resource for finding this type of thing?
    Thanks

People generate excitement not some cheap trinket made in China!  Have your management walk the talk.
    Deming hated sloganeering.

Deming may have not liked it, but many people do.  LOL
I was on a team responsible for rolling out Six Sigma to 48,000 people company-wide, and I can tell you that “trinkets” do have an impact.  Two of the items that were favorites with our employees were paper memo cubes and coffee mugs.  Each were adorned with a simple,  oversized silver sigma symbol with the words “Six Sigma” underneath.
With that said, I do agree with Dan who said you need to get management to “walk the talk.”  This is the single most important thing that can be done to get Six Sigma into the DNA of the company.

The excitement through out the organization is based more on individual needs and personalities. An entry level person will have different interests from a type “A” manager. Little gifts help a certain individual, but some are asking “where’s the beef” (70’s Wendy’s ad). Some questions that they may be asking are …What’s different? Is this the new flavor of the month? What’s in it for me?
Quality days that demonstrate the benefits, project results, job career options, little gifts …
The excitement is also build through consistent communication on all levels and especially from the CEO (have him/her communicate, communicate, communicate …

    I agree 100% with Ken.
Memo-cubes with adhesive, PU foam puzzles which can be made into a cube with D,M,A,I,C shown on the faces, T-shirts, mugs, Pen-cum-laser pointers, multi-time zone clocks have been tried out but they are only “maintenance” factors to use old  OB jargon. They do NOT motivate.
