be notified via email.When data are not follow normal distribution Capability Analysis we are using Box-Cox Transformation before to catch the lambda parameter.After Box-Cox Transformation we can’t use historical mean. Why?
Can we use transformed data (after Box-Cox Transformation) instead of collected data without using Box-Cox option during Capability Analysis?0March 27, 2007 at 11:54 am #154024You can’t use historical mean because during transformation Box-Cox your data are modified by mathematical transformation. During Box-Cox tranformation you need to transform your USL and LSL as well. I hope its helps..
