    I have two questions about implementing Lean Six Sigma and the culture necessary to make it successful. It is my understanding, that in order for a company to thrive in a Lean mentality it is important to create a culture that embraces change, improvement, and elimination of non-value added steps/processes.

    My question are:
    1) How do you go about creating this culture and getting people to buy-in?
    &
    2) What do you do about those people who refuse to buy-in or give it a shot?

    Thanks!

    Congratulations, we have a winner! The laziest poster so far ever – in my opinion!

    Ieishia — It is clear that you did not search our site before posting your question. If you do that, you will find multiple articles/discussions addressing your question, including the one that is featured on our home page this week (as @Andy-Parr pointed out above).

    As helpful as the iSixSigma audience is, they are not here to do your work for you. Especially without your having shown a good-faith effort to find answers yourself.

    @KatieBarry See that. I am very proud of you. You told him what was what and you were very polite. You are getting tougher.

    @mike-carnell @katiebarry has been my more polite alter-ego for awhile. I think that she takes it as a challenge to get to these posters before me and politely tell them to do their own homework. I’ve still managed to get to some and tell them to “piss off” before Katie got in a reply.

    @MBBinWI @KatieBarry She did time working in Washington DC so this can’t look to bad.

    @MBBinWI It’s entirely possible that I don’t mind when you get there first!

    Hi, I am a student from the University Of Central Missouri, I am studying about Lean Six Sigma in my course and its implementations in the industries and results.
    My question is:

    1. How effective is Lean Six-Sigma when compare to TQM and CMMI?
    2. what are the Advantages and Disadvantages of a certification?

    @KatieBarry – apparently you were “supervising” in Miami when a chair mysteriously levitated itself and flew across the room ;-}
