I looked for earlier threads on the subject, couldn’t find them…forgive me, I know this has been covered. I need quick refresher on Yield measures:

    FTY:  Output / Input
True Yield:  Input – (scrap + rework) / Input
RTY:  Product of sequential True Yields
Is this correct?  Also, the following quote is taken out of the isixsigma dictionary for FTY…How does FTY indicate rework? Thanks.
First Time Yield Or First “Pass” Yield Is A Tool For Mearsuring The Amount Of Rework In A Given Process. It Is An Excellent Cost Of Quality Metric.

TVI:FTY is without rework of any kind; scrap is discarded. When rework is allowed and scrap is discarded, I call it classical yield (output/input), you call it true yield.RTY is the product of successive yields.Cheers, BTDT
