I am currently working on a 6 sigma project for my graduate degree in Organizational Development and was looking for practitioners to share their experience concerning six sigma in a service environment such as healthcare in an informal structured interview that would take place in February. The focus of the project is to compare and contrast six sigma practices between service and manufacturing environments.
0February 4, 2004 at 1:53 pm #60031Hi, Craig… I work for a hospital in Ohio, & was recently trained as a green belt for a project on Cardiac Cath Lab supply costs. Our project was just completed in January. Because the CCL is a clinical area with a small number of team members, we found that we had to adapt Six Sigma methods throughout the project. I would be willing to share my experiences / perspective with you for your project. I have tagged the email box above if you wish to contact me. /jrr
0February 4, 2004 at 6:13 pm #60033Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my posting concerning Six Sigma. You will be a great resource in helping my group complete the goal of our project – to identify commonalties and differences in the implementation of Six Sigma between two settings: manufacturing and service, especially since your experience is in healthcare. Currently, my group is in the process of setting up the “informational interviews” that would take place in February and we are looking for participants of your experience to share their knowledge with these two environments. The interviews can either be conducted by (preferably) phone or email. Is this something you possibly would be interested in doing? We are very willing to work around your schedule and your time constraints.
Also, I couldnt find your email address information, so I will give you mine ([email protected]) to contact me. I look forward to speaking with you further.
