I am a pursuing mechanical engineering from NIT jalandhar.Currently am doing training at MSIL.I am doing a project on six sigma implementation in weld shop.right now am confused with opportunities in calculating DPMO.can any one suggest what should be opportunities

be notified via email.In one company where I worked, we measured a foot of weld four times per shift. We recorded the numnber of defects occurring in the sample. We had 24 possible defects. Thus, if porosity and undercut we observed, we had 2 defects.
By the way, this was my “famous” projects. Derfects were reduced from an average of 1.47 per foot to 0.05. The department returned $3 million (USD) of their labor budget to the company in the first year.
