I am a bit confused, need help ….

When establishing control limits (visual impact is not important), which of the following is true and why:

    A) It is necessary that the measurement data is in time order
    B) It is not necessary that the measured data to be in time series order

    -Thx

Since control charts is with respect to time the statement A is correct. What other order can you think of? Control charts is a modified version of run chart (which is again a time series) with statistically derived control limits.
    Thanks
