be notified via email.We are trying to establish a system that measures cost of poor quality(COPQ). The COPQ should include tip of the iceberg as well as iceberg below water. I am wondering how to assess the iceberg below water systematically. Once we have that system, I believe the six sigma project can be defined systematically and assess the financial benefit in terms of reduced COPQ.

be notified via email.Read Juran’s Quality Handbook. In the 4th edition the section on Quality Costs is at pages 4.1 to 4.30. It breaks COPQ down into its standard components:
Internal Failure Costs
External Failure Costs
Appraisal Costs
Prevention Costs
If you don’t own a copy (you should), try your local library.
