    hi,
i have a set of data which show Radius measurement, means that there will be no negative value within the data. The upper spec limit will be 60microns. am i correct to say that this is one sided spec calculation to obtain Cpk value? Cpk=min (Cpl,Cpu)? can anyone explain?
    thanks in advance…

    Yes, this is a one-sidded application. Cpk = (USL – Mean) / (3 * Sigma) where Sigma = (average range / d2)

Just because of the fact you can not get negative values this is not a one sided application, only if the tolerance allows the radius to go to 0 you have a one sided application. If your tolerance is e.g 5 +0.06/-0 you still have a USL and a LSL….
