    For a diameter 15.45mm & tolerance spec. of -0.15mm, for Cpk Calculation
    Cpk = (Avg.-LSL)/ 3 Std.Dev.     OR     Cpk = (USL – Avg.)/ 3 Std.Dev.

    Which ever is minimum..I guess your USL = 15.45 and LSL = 15.30

    Hello Atul,
    Cpk = Min[(Avg.-LSL)/ 3 Std.Dev.,(USL – Avg.)/ 3 Std.Dev
    Since your Target(nominal) is 15.45mm & LSL is 15.30mm here you have a one sided spec. Hence you have to use Cpk = (Avg.-LSL)/ 3 Std.Dev. Here the avg. is the mean of your data.

    In addition to that:
    1+1=2
    1+2=3
    1+3=4
    Get the pattern.  Next week we will cover advanced BB techniques like mu, sdev, and what is 6 Sigma.  Slow me down if I am going too fast.
