0October 18, 2006 at 6:29 pm #145083It is relative to the time you put in study and experience with the BOK. Suggest you study and measure against BOK and practice exams from IC.
0October 18, 2006 at 7:00 pm #145085It takes me about 50 minutes to take the exam.

Thanks for identifying the important set of variables that may explain why I have failed the exam three times in a row. What communication “tool” does six sigma use as an alternative to swearing at the instructor? How many different levels would that communication tool have (grunt, groan, frown?). I would like to create a designed experiment to quantify what percentage of the failure rate can be attributed to “swearing” as opposed to the other three factors that you mentioned. This will help me identify the best combination of variables to help me optimize the probability of my eventual success. As we all know, we cannot be rigorous enough in analyzing the root causes of defects/failure rates before we move into the improvement phase. How often do I have to retake the exam to make sure that I truly passed it and that this is not just attributable to happenstance causes?0October 18, 2006 at 9:54 pm #145109It took you 50 mn to take it and fail

0October 22, 2009 at 7:08 pm #186318Quality Council of Indiana has good material. CD, Book and Primer. ASQ also has handbook for six sigma blackbelt. Other than that you should know some basics already if you are appearing for an exam.
0October 22, 2009 at 7:08 pm #186319Andy Be aware.
Its a stupid requirement for multiple reasons.
And bad companies make stupid requirements.
But I get it, times are bad and you do what you have to do.

Ps. Dont let the other posters bother you, all (I kid not) every single one of them is incompetent.
0October 22, 2009 at 7:27 pm #186321Thanks Steve– lots of information on the web..and sometime too much information is not necessarily a good thing.
