i want to know how to conduct a Gage R&R study in minitab considering these factors
destructive testing: burning test
1 operator
minitab release 13.2
thx in advance0December 6, 2001 at 4:28 pm #70419Hi, what you want to do with Minitab is very simple. The real issue is how you select your samples. Since your samples are destroyed, you need to make a few assumptions. For example, if you are measuring the tensile strength of a material, then where do you select your coupons. Assumption, coupons coming from a sheet of material are fairly uniform. Hence if you cut three coupons very close to each other, the coupon #1 is for Operator 1, coupon #2 is for Operator 2 (to be treated as part 1 or Op 2) and coupon #3 is for Operator 3 (i.e. part 1 for Op 3). The data setup in Minitab remain the same for any continuous Gage R&R study. Does this help?
0December 7, 2001 at 3:40 pm #70431Not really, i want to know what to do in minitab with the parameters previously said
burn test
1 operator
minitab version 13.2
I’m aware of all the assumptions and so forth but with the parameters that i have, it looks like minitab doesn’t support this!
error message : you need more than one operator
