I think I may have fell asleep during class on this one so let me know if there is a quick way to calculate.
Say I have found that my process has shifted and I am now scrapping out 0.5% of my product due to my supplier – because it is never my process that is out of control – isn’t that what the process engineers always say? So I get my SQE to go out and they sample the ‘ol 30 pieces from a lot and say they didn’t find any parts out of spec.
What is my rebuttle on that? Do I say based on what I am seeing scrap you should go and audit X pieces to find Y number of scrap? How do I calculate those numbers OR what are the odds of me pulling 30 pieces and finding any scrap?
Please help me Forum Members you are my only hope. Sorry, but it is getting close to the Star Wars release and the words are just flowing out.0April 29, 2005 at 12:04 am #118610
