The most comprehensive is “Design for Six Sigma” by Kai Yang and Basem El-Haik. Not easy reading but it’s got just about everything in it. It uses ICOV (similar to IDOV).
Much more readable (I used it for a university design course) is The Design for Six Sigma Memory Jogger from Goal/QPC. Uses DMADV.
And for a true classic, nothing beats “Total Design” by Stuart Pugh. IMO, the first DFSS book, even though it doesn’t mention DFSS.
You might also check out some of the books on design project management: Managing the Design Factory by Reinertsen or Lean Product Development by Allen Ward.

be notified via email. My personal recommendation is Design for Six Sigma by Skip (Clyde) Creveling. Easier to read then El Haik, and just as comprehensive. Also, for the VOC aspect – Voices into Choices, and concept development I like Product Design.
