    i will explain it in a normal way…. i think it is easy to understand the differences…one of the person is suffering from stomach ache but he don’t know why it is,its the bug.then he consults the doctor and know the result why he is suffering from stomach ache,it is an error.if that person is getting stomach ache only out of residence not at home means its failure.if that person born with stomach ache means its a defect.

    As per my knowledge goes..
    Error:  Error is “A mistake in a code”
    Defect: Defect is “Due to the error in code Test Engineers are getting mismatches in the Application build are defects.”
    Bug: Defects are assigned to developers to be solved “bug”.
    Failure: Failure means “Not meeting the reliability of the product”
