in the DMADV SS project, in the final phase V – Verify, we make sure the Design/ Detialed meets all the CTQs of the customers + stakeholders.. right?!!
and, WHEN THEN WE IMPLEMENT THIS DESIGN AND HAVE IT RUN PERMANENT.. AND DO WE ALSO NEED TO CONTROL IT AS WE DO IN THE DAMAIC.. PLEASE ADVISE..!!

No need for control after you implement the design. Let it run as it will for some extended period of time – probably a cycle or 2 longer than your corporation’s HR recommended job role change. Then you will be able to get more certifiactions and awards for swooping in and running several DMAIC projects to fix the process after it has run amok.

OK, but last phase is Verify, when we Implement, there is NO implement phase in the DMADV project.
ans makes not sense why NO Control, and what you said at the end to let it run for 2 cycles then come back and do more DMAIC, I do not think this is right.. ANY ONE HAS MORE EXPERIENCE IN THIS, OR DONE ITR BEFORE SUCESSEFULLY..??!!

    Hi Kent
As a part of your Verify phase you should identify control for the CTQs and monitor them when the design is implemented to find out if the design is performing fine. If some variations are observed probably a DMAIC project can be initiated to fix that.

    Kent,
    ย
DMADV is a DESIGN function.ย  The Verify in DMADV is the final verification of the design against all requirements to ensure the design is ready to go to production.
    ย
When the design is turned over to production, the Black Belt shifts roles into the Continuous Improvement Process to improve manufacturing process for building the design.
    ย
When the prototype build is complete, the Black Belt shifts into a DMAIC role to ensure all the CTQ elements required of the prototype are being produced as designed.ย  This is where Control enters the picture.
    ย
If a problem is found in the operation of the prototype, the Black Belt will use DMAIC processes to define the problem and fix it.
    ย
    I hope this helps.
    ย
