I am trying to evaluate our training(trg) program in order to explore areas of improvement for the same.Actually at the end of each trg prog we give a feedback form to those who attended the prog. and collect their views regarding the same.The form covers area like content of the prog, duration,faculty’s ability to maintain interest etc etc.The respondents rate the areas on a 1-5 scale and then through some calculations we arrive at a final score (for each sheet) which is our big Y.
Now in order to find the relationship between Y and the other factors I did a regression analysis on the data and found that all factors except two have significant effect on score.
Now my question is that can we do simple regression analysis on data like this? If not, is there any other method available for the analysis of such kind of data set? And also how can I validate my trg evaluation system?
