We are a non-profit membership association that is
looking to evaluate the needs of our members by having a focus group. We are looking for a facilitator in the Northwest US and also are wondering about what the average cost of a facilitator is?

Any information that is provided will be helpful.

    Thank you.

I think you are approaching your situation incorrectly. I have been apart of non-profit groups and your finances are tight at best. You need to find resources that have the same vision as yourself. Then you can get the resource at cost. But, to answer your question, if you are trying to find a good resource you are looking at $60/hr on the cheap end and $150/hr on the higher end (this may not include expenses).

The price is going to depend on what you really need to have done and how long it will take. For pure facilitation of a focus group meeting you can expect from $500 – $2500 per day, depending on experience of the facilitator. If you expect a report to be generated from the information collected, the price goes up and is frequently bid out to groups or individuals that provide the service. A rough guess for a complete report with findings and recommendations will be in the $5,000-$20,000 range. We routinely provide facilitation for $1,000 per day and complete reports for $8,000-$10,000. If you would like more details, feel free to call. 816.213.6038
