I am working on implementing ISO17025 in our facility. I need to complete a Gauge R&R on a 0-1″ laser micrometer that we manufacture. I want to use the XX pin set and do measurements the entire length of the gauge tolerance. Would I use the same method as if we manufactured a part and used its tolerance but instead use the XX tolerance class.

@jacquebickley Using pin gages as a substitute for parts is fine. What you might consider doing is using multiple micrometers and treat them as if they were operators and only use 1 operator. Theoretically the micrometers should all be the same? If that works your reproducibility number is the difference you see from using one micrometer to another.

    Just a thought.
