or do you know how to make symbols in Excell?
    Thanks for your help,

    Hi Laura
Not sure what you mean by GD & T Symbols.
Are you talking about sybmbols from the ‘winddings’ fonts? These have symbols such as arrows , squares, circles etc that you can use.
    As an example.
    a) Type the alphabet in one row; b) copy it on a second row; c) select 2nd row and d) change you current font (say Arial) to windings font.
    Hope this helps
    Cheers Justin

Not sure what you mean by GD&T symbols, but if you open a spread sheet click on the “View” drop down, click on toolbars and choose drawing.
You’ll see a GUI toolbar along the bottom edge of your spreadsheet.   Every conceivable box, connector, balloon, etc… is there.
If I were you, I’d use ppt instead of excel.
    Visio is another option.

You should be able to find these symbols within Images on Google. Then do a copy/paste into Excel.
    Good Luck! OLD

Mike Carnell….It looks like someone beat me to the punch. Thanks for the compliment. It has been such a long time since I have used GD&T. I remember the main thrusts were reducing ambiguity, assuring interchangeability of parts, and allowing for functional gaging. Ironically, it didn’t really achieve part A for us until we beat each other up over drawing interpretation for a year or so!
