Home Depot, Bank of America, General Electric, Etc. Bashers Unite!
We live in a perfect world. Yes, PERFECT!! Why shouldn’t we expect somebody else to have that one defect out of two defects in one billion that Six Sigma promised us. I want my PERFECTION!!!
And I don’t want some guy doing funny math to dilute my perfection to 3.4 defects per million opportunities like the understanding has been with the 1.5 sigma shift. I WANT MY PERFECTION!!!!
You bashers are like the guy who looks at a empty coffee cup on a ocean beach, on a beautiful summer day, and decides the beach is too dirty, lacks care, and “he’s going to have a terrible time today.” I WANT MY PERFECTION WHEN I GO TO THE BEACH!!!!
To the complainers who I accused of being the guys we fired, or having a professional ax to grind with certain people,                 THE JO CLUB, I apologize. While you are out there, and bashing perfectly good companies and people with your spraypaint, your ranks were wrongly included by me, the people who just haven’t figured out that Six Sigma is a set of tools to use to improve, not by magic make absolutely perfect. BUT I STILL WANT MY PERFECTION!!
You “PERFECTION” people should go back to your cubical and re-read your pre-yellow-belt training manuals until snack or nap time later this morning. Then we will let you color in your picture books till lunchtime.
The HD thread started out myopic and with an isolated experience, and an JUDGEMENT that made no sense; but some opinions are that way. And by the way, last quarter’s results for Home Depot neared $20 billion in sales with $1.55 billion in profits. Big picture for you guys who think one opinion of a associate, working in a store that has $50 to $110 million in sales, is the fountain of sage knowledge.
And I’ll bet most stores don’t even pay for “true samples” unless the samples are “full sized” SKU’s and there is a possibility the samples can be collected for use on a project, which may have been the case in this flooring example. What do you know about how HD operates?
The BOA bashing is nonsense, “they missed my homeowners insurance payment,” WAA, WAA,  so are any complaints about GE’s quality or corporate bashing that happens periodically. If you bashers really understood Six Sigma, you’d have enough sense to know better. BUT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND SIX SIGMA YET!!!!!!
    MY OPINION!

Love the rant.  But back to the JO club, I’m intrigued:
    How can I join?
    Are there dues?
    Can we wear special hats?

So?   Are you upset and venting or was there intended to be a message in the tirade?   Has the forum not lived up to Dr. Phil’s expectations?   Don’t turn into a blubbering whiner.   Where is that humor that allows you to distance yourself from the muck and let others see their foibles in a non-threatening, non-judgmental and laugh-with-them manner?   You are starting to sound like Mikey.   Was this really Mikey?   You rascal you.

Stevo: Don’t make me smile. I’m plenty angry. Can’t you tell by my rant?
Joining is easy; Don’t use your favored screen name. Use incomplete sentences. Strive for multiple meaning with your posts. Don’t make sense, and if possible, always be negative. Always point out the experiences that fall so far along the tails of the distribution and assume the are the majority of occurances. Try to speak with authority, having no knowledge. Whine, complain, bash, use “BUT” and disrupt. Take a shot at people when you can. Bring up old anger and personal emotional issues.  It’s as simple as that!!!
No dues, but if there were dues, less people would be members.
Special hats are welcome. Several of us non-member observers of the JO Club have a fondness for animal taxidermy haberdashery, so this method of hat wearing is our’s only. They will have to get their own style.
I understand that they are also looking into special sport coats to wear over their JO Club tee-shirts. Something with pockets for the spraycans.

My dear Waldbert, 1%, Dr. Rigor, man of the people, YPW?I?:
I appreciate you reminding me of my place in this democratic forum. Thank you.
I do enjoy the non-threatening, non-judgemental and laugh-with-them-manner, and once in a while, need to vent. This was that time.
By the way, your referance to Dr. is an honorific bestowed upon me by the printer from whom I purchased $20 in quality paper and the foil imprints for my laser printed doctorate in Animal Taxidermy and Cherished Pet Haberdashery Sciences.
I thank you for you nudge back toward the real world. I do feel better.

How is this forum democratic? Do we vote and go with majority rule?
I’d say it’s more like anarchy between isixsigma’s spec limits, where it changes to a (benevolant?) dictatorship.
Those of us who are looking for advice must sort through the good and bad and take away what we think is of value. The forum is more Darwinistic than you would get with democracy, in that we don’t deny anyone their right to become extinct, if they are and choose to remain ignorant/incompetent.
Or is your idea of “democratic” met when just because we let anyone spout off but we don’t make any real decisions or actually do anything of note? If so… No, I better not go there. This is no place for party politics, after all.

Phil, I apologize for the delay in getting you your weekly meds.  The Canadian Post was running a little late.  Please double your dose until the anger subsides and the humor returns.  Please feel free to call my 900 number if you need to talk.

No problemo big guy.   When I similarly un-tether please voice concern.  I well know the vitriol keyboard outpourings associated with the dual occurrence of a dead animal slipping over the dominant eye just as the digital variant of Tourette’s syndrome kicks in.   At least you just get a little worked up now and then.  I had an unfortunate outpouring on a brief visit to what appeared to be (to me anyway) an enemy of the state blog and well let’s just say I am claiming that democratic expression was not recognized.   As an fyi – when I get really upset I sing the Sponge Bob Square Pants theme song – you can’t stay angry when you sing about living in a pineapple under the sea, but maybe that’s just me.

Oh swami of sage advice, in espanole:
How simular we are. I often find myself singing the Barney “I love you, you love me, ….” song during such times of high emotions. 15 years of Barney’s Anger Theapeutic Management (BATMAN) as directed by my parole officer, and it still sneeks out sometimes.
Won’t let a tau neutrino effect that normally positive attitude.
So you visited the elect John/John Blog? Did you go dressed undercover like joe everyman or did you have to wear a union logo on that huge 9 racoon sombrero, or both?

Serves me right to allow a guy with an engineering degree, an MBA and a PhD in some aspect of statistics, to take care of getting me my necessary medication. No wonder I’m not getting any better. I’d like a second opinion.
I tried the 900 number but kept getting your associate who wanted to describe what she was wearing to me, along with her friend Tiffiny. After being on hold for 25 minutes, and giving my credit card number. Is that your idea of customer service? Please advise.

Gunboat attire appeared consistent with the theme of the day and the cranial adornment was craftily configured along that line with the general (lieutenant actually – but it makes little difference) approach to the garb along a militaristic “I actually served” homage combined with a vague superhero concept.  All was well until I turned around and the cape depicted (apparently a little too literally) a tall angular, aristocratic in bearing, heavily medalled (not referring to heavy metal) young man shooting a retreating and previously wounded young oriental in the back.  Well, as you can imagine, you either see irony in the juxtaposition of values or you don’t – they were apparently a bit squeamish.  Charges were not filed but I am subjected to a few more years of parental control relative to Internet access and it was suggested that I actively campaign for the Yale “C” student.
