I thought it good to introduce myself to the community-
I’m new to this area of work and have a lot of learning to do. Over the last few months, I’ve stepped off the aluminum shop floor and into a role of continuous improvement projects and data collection and analysis. Last month I received training for a Lean Six Sigma green belt and have begun my certification project — we will be attempting to reduce labor and machine time for a part family that appears to be over-producing so that we can return some outsourced parts that we didn’t have the capacity to machine.
Looking forward to learning what I can from all of you. Thanks!April 4, 2018 at 2:43 pm #202439
welcome to the site and community. And you get some reputation points for just posting! :)April 5, 2018 at 12:02 pm #202443
Welcome, Aaron! It’s great to have you in the community.
I remember my first green belt project back at GE Capital way too many years ago. It’s an exciting time (and frustrating at times), but you’ll be all the better for completing it.
Good luck and welcome to the group.
