Hello Everyone, I Am Just Getting Started
- November 28, 2018 at 3:19 pm #208552
I am just venturing out into the world of Lean Six Sigma and, on advice, have enrolled on a Black Belt course, so I am determined to make the most of it. I need lots of help as I don’t have a Master Black Belt mentor and have no statistical background. I want to improve my own business processes using the methodology and also introduce the ideas into my part-time retail service work where I work as a computer technician. I have questions that will be basic for a while and I look forward to hearing from you. Someday I hope to be able to help those in my position.November 28, 2018 at 3:28 pm #208554
Welcome @polphert! I think you’ll find iSixSigma to be a helpful site. Our archives are chock full of good information so be sure to take full advantage of our search functionality.
If you do post questions to the forum, please be as specific as possible. What do you think? Why or why not? The iSixSigma audience is extremely helpful, but they want to be sure you’re putting in a good-faith effort.
Again, welcome to iSixSigma and the world of Lean Six Sigma!November 28, 2018 at 6:07 pm #208565
Welcome, Paul. Great to have you in the community!
Once you are educated in Six Sigma, you start to see the world in a whole different way. Everything becomes a process that can be improved/optimized, and you understand what is critical to quality from the customer’s perspective.
Looking forward to hearing how you improve your work.December 3, 2018 at 1:09 pm #208841
Like everyone else welcome. There are a lot of people here with a lot of experience that will help you. Just some advice. Homework/test questions are very easy to recognize. In general people will not answer those questions and frequently will actually get a little nasty. If you want help on those types of questions put down your thoughts and reasoning and ask for help. People will work with you on that.
Best of luck.
