Fausto GalettoParticipant@fausto.galettoInclude @fausto.galetto in your post and this person will
be notified via email.A product has a probability p of being defective.
The inspection system has a probability “alfa” of wrongly signaling a good product as defective.
On the other end, the inspection system has a probability “beta” of wrongly signaling a defective product as good.
1. How could I find the mean number of inspections until a wrong signal?
2. How could I find the VARIANCE of the mean number of inspections until a wrong signal?
THANKS in advance.

Fausto GalettoParticipant@fausto.galettoInclude @fausto.galetto in your post and this person will
be notified via email.I did not expect that “”iSixSigma audience had to do MY work for ME“”.
I expected some hints to afford the problem….
We can have some causes of NO Reply:
- the case is not interesting
- the iSixSigma audience does not WANT to answer
- the iSixSigma audience does not KNOW HOW to answer
- ….

Katie BarryParticipant@KatieBarryInclude @KatieBarry in your post and this person will
be notified via email.@fausto.galetto If you lead with what you think and why/why not, you may get a reply. Otherwise, you likely won’t. It’s that simple.

Fausto GalettoParticipant@fausto.galettoInclude @fausto.galetto in your post and this person will
be notified via email. It seems that your previous “Rules” are NOT applied to the other two questions:
- Help with Homework Problem by Karthik Dharmalingam
- Bernoulli Distribution by Fausto Galetto
Let’s do not waste any more time…

Katie BarryParticipant@KatieBarryInclude @KatieBarry in your post and this person will
be notified via email.- Homework Problem–I didn’t say it was impossible to get a response. I said it was unlikely. In this instance, Robert was generous and replied before I had an opportunity to post and suggest the original poster share their opinion/thought processes first.
- Bern0ulli Distribution–You clearly state your opinion before asking others for theirs.
