HP’s definition: Quality is fitness for use as defined by the customer
Another I read: Quality is all about never having to say “sorry”

Here is the one that might satisfy you:

•Quality is in the eye of the  beholder. Yet, we all recognize it when we see it.
•It is when your car or computer works flawlessly – first time, every time. When your order arrives complete and on time.
•It is when, on the odd occasion when something goes wrong, it is corrected efficiently and with a smile.
•Quality is when you are so satisfied with a product or service that you go out of your way to recommend it to friends.”

    One more:

     Quality is the customers’ perception
     of their whole product experience.

    Thank you,hereunder some more “sophisticated”difinitions:
*Q.as the desirable outcome of engin.& manufac. practice,or  conformance to specification.
**For the coca-cola company (for example),quality is about manufacturing a product that people can depend on every time they reach for it.
***The deersity of definitions of quality can be explained by examining the eight quality deminitions defined by Gravin:performance, reliability, conformance, durability, serviceability, aesthetics & percieved quality.
****Q. is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
*****An organization that is committed to quality must examine quality at three levels:the organ.level, the process level & the performer/job level.
******Last but not least,Q. can be considered as  a competitive advantage, denotes  a firm”s ability to achieve market superiority. As Crosby said:Quality  is not only free,it is  an  honest-to-everything profit  makes.               Regards.                      MN

From the book : “Six Sigma” by Mikel Harry & Richard Shroeder , page 6 , line 3-5.
” We say that quality is a state in which value entitlement is realized for the customer and provider in every aspect of business relationship”
Note : for more detail, just read the book.
Do you like this new definition of quality?
