    You could be weighing the apples, or the bags of apples. 
    Apple 1 = .561 lbs
    Apple 2 = .503 lbs
    Apple 3 = .616 lbs
    Tell me that’s not continuous…

    You are inferring an associated measure…the orig poster just asked if the bag of apples (or data) as-is, was discrete, or continuous…
    The real key here is VoC/QFD
    I like your direction though…

    You are correct. Now, would the length of time it would take to eat a .5 lb apple be continuous or discrete?
