I’m an aspiring business process analyst and wanted to know if you guys are happy with the work you do. Is it rewarding and how are the stress levels?

0November 6, 2009 at 3:41 pm #186673High stress, but can be rewarding, depending on the gig or poject.

0November 7, 2009 at 3:48 pm #186677It is like a total trip, you know, like running down your own thing, like way cool, you know, mad rad skilz, like total deep blue hero stuff….except when, you know, like it isn’t then it’s like bad karma, like no way man, like valley girls on steroids, you know?

I’ve done both Six Sigma and BPM and it really depends on your manager and the culture of your organization. If your organization as a whole doesn’t support the change, then you’ll have a tough time and no where to grow.
Good luck!0November 9, 2009 at 5:21 pm #186703Ultimately, it’s about delivering results. Whether you call it Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, BPM, ITIL, etc. is not nearly as relevant as fixing business problems and positively impacting the company and customers in a way that they can feel.If you can do that, you will do well.As for stress, I’ve never had a more stressful job in my life. Rewards? Never had a more rewarding job in my life.
