If your product or service delivery quality is poor then classical Six
Sigma may work. If your sales force is only 40% effective due to “non
value added activities” then a combination of Lean and Six Sigma may
    suffice.
If there are no issues with the above then you may wish to drive a
program specifically designed for Sales/Marketing – I call mine
Growth training which is pretty much Green Belt training that is
specifically written for Sales and Marketing to accelerate growth.Adam

    Hari,
There is an interesting book “Six Sigma & Pricing” (“The goal of pricing operations is to consistently control price deviations in transactions and contracts over time and across customer segments. This goal of ensuring the prices are not too low ot too high in defferent transactions relative to guidelines lends itself perfectly to Six Sigma”)
    Adam,
Can you share some more info related to the Green Belt “Growth” training that you provide? That looks very valuable!

Hey Bart,Green Belt – Growth training …From a Green Belt perspective I train Green Belts in a program
specifically focussed on growth – it is the GB materials totally
focussed on sales, marketing, NPD and written using typical
“cultural terms” from those groups. The training, projects,
certification is based upon identifying and attaining new business
based upon business/service value proposition. Also …. If you lean out a business you create capacity – if said
capacity is not filled with new business then, as you can imagine,
people loose jobs, facilities shut and get moved. Hope this high level overview helps.Adam
