Have you heard about 10 sigma and 24 sigma?I have heard Motorola is working as a 10 sigma company and NASA as a 24 sigma company. Is this correct? If so, can u tell me the list of companies operating in this range and the features of the processes?

10 or 24 Sigma process is possible if the tolerance limit is wide enough or the process control or process optimization are good.
For example, waste water system at my company can achieve short term sigma level for pH.
The specification limit of pH is 5-9 but with good controlling system we can control it around 7. When large volume of water is mixed togeter, pH will be more robust. Short term sigma level can be 20 or more.

Although I can speak directly to quality levels for my business (that is sensitive information), for complicated products or processes I’d guess that Sigma levels that high are rare, but I suppose its possible.
Such levels are more possible for less complicated products or processes – I would think somewhere there are nearly perfect processes out there.
