I think there are a few people on this forum that need to read the etiquette and tips section. Especially points 6 & 7. I have read enough rude posts to make me sick. I am in my 20’s and I would bet a majority of the people posting on here are older and more mature than I am, but are posting like they are adolescents. Is this a site to help each other or bash and make fun of people with actual questions?
0July 13, 2005 at 3:41 pm #122992I agree Lug! There’s no reasoning to be demeaning. We’re all at different levels of experience with this thing and we should be using this forum to make each other stronger in this discipline. We were all novices with this thing at one point. How quickly we forget…….

I believe you will see a correlation between the laziness of a poster and idiocy of the post with the negative responses. Unfortunately, it is often used as a method of self policing the Forum. Additionally, if you have thin skin and get offended easily, possibly a public forum of anonymous posters is not the place to be.
0July 13, 2005 at 5:30 pm #123004As a previous poster said, we are all at different levels in learning SS, and should be helping each other out in positive ways, not belittleing ways. My apologies if anything is spelled wrong in this post. I know that is much more important than the meaning of the post itself.

Taking the time to do a little personal research before posting is important so as not to waste bandwidth such as the oft repeated question of “What is Six Sigma?”. A quick Google search will yield much more info than exists on this site. Not using the Forum as your source of information for dissertations and homework assignments is important if you care about having posters take your post seriously. There are many of us more than willing to give of our time both online and offline to help others but there are shared obligations on both parts. Over time you will see that much of the jesting is exactly that and once you “get it” it might even seem amusing. Granted, there are rare occassions when things get out of hand. Hopefully, that is when the Moderator steps in and kills the thread. Fortunately, that is a rare occurrence.

I beg to differ, my immense ego is far from fragile. I still anxiously await ANY post that you may have written where you actually answer a question or provide help to ANYONE on this Forum. My dream is that one day you and the rest of the club will actually provide help to others rather than reside under your rock and only visit daylight when I post something that you don’t approve of. Do you have an opposing view to what I wrote or wish to add your perspective? Alas, like the ground hog, you have come out of your hole, looked around, expelled some gas and retreated to the comfort of your rock.0 -
