I’d appreciate the opinions any of you have on JMP versus Minitab software, and the reasons why you prefer one over the other.
Thanks in advance for your time and kind assistance.

    Trev,
Thanks for the reference. I went through all the posts on the link.
A lot of the recommended software is great for trained statisticians, but will be way over our heads here. I probably should have qualified my original by stating that virtually all of the individuals in my organization have little or no background in statistics.
    Thanks again,
    Chris

I have used both softwares and frankly both of them have pretty much the same capabilities. Minitab UI is much simpler to use than JMP, but JMP UI has some fairly sophisticated capabilities which may be useful as your organization matures. I preferred Minitab as a beginner but now tend to like JMP better. You may contact me directly if you need further details

    Chris,
Not to add complexity, but 5 years ago I could not use JMP because it would not do a Pierson (single-tail) analysis;  the saleswoman had never heard of a Pierson analysis.  I bought SQC pack:  http://www.pqsystems.com/
I know Minitab is strong on DOE.  I’m not endorsing a choice, just giving you an option.  My recommendation is use Microsoft Excel if you already have it.  Anyone competent in Excel can create stat tools for you.
