Thank you for your posting. Your request is for articles, etc. related to Six Sigma. The blue panel just to the left of this message has links to other portions of the iSixSigma site. Start with the link entitled “New to Six Sigma” — it may give you what you need.
If you need more, try the iSixSigma search engine in the upper right corner of this webpage (just below the banner ads) — you should be able to search and find the kind of articles and other resources that you are looking for.
And, best wishes on your graduation exam!!
Best regards,
QualityColorado
0November 16, 2007 at 7:59 pm #164920“Lean Six Sigma methodology” is an oxymoron. There is no methodology – it’s just various collections of bits put together by different consultants.

BrandonParticipant@BrandonInclude @Brandon in your post and this person will
be notified via email.H A L – there is some merit in what you say in that there is no central agency (association) monitoring SS methodology. However, the DMAIC approach and the tools therein are pretty standard among those of us who care about the practice of SS.
Would you agree?0November 20, 2007 at 4:52 pm #165180
Ylenia CodastefanoMember@Ylenia-CodastefanoInclude @Ylenia-Codastefano in your post and this person will
be notified via email. Thanks a lot! I find several interesting articles… but what about you opinion? What do you think about the different reasons who can motivate Engineers, Economist experts, Management team in choosing Six Sigma approach in their company rather than others quality management tools?
For example, reading some of the posts in this forum, I’m afraid that Managers and Directors are often interested more in have a big number of their people trained instead of money goals or customer satisfaction improvement. Isn’t it?
Kind regards and… sorry for my English!!!

qualitycoloradoParticipant@qualitycoloradoInclude @qualitycolorado in your post and this person will

What do you think about the different reasons who can motivate Engineers, Economist experts, Management team in choosing Six Sigma approach in their company rather than others quality management tools? …” My opinion probably is not that important. If you are working with others regarding what motivates them, to do something (like, adopt a process improvement method like Six Sigma), look past opinions. What you really need to do is to work with these key decisionmakers to understand what motivates them. It is tempting to categorize people and then assume that all of the people in a particular category behave the same way — for instance, categorizing someone as a “middle manager”, and then assuming that he or she thinks like and acts like all other middle managers. In my experience, this does not hold up very well. While it is true, for instance, that middle managers often face similar operational issues and pressures, I have found they think and act very differently from one another. If you are trying to implement Six Sigma (or, trying to make any other kind of improvement), I highly recommend that you get to know, REALLY know, your key decision-makers. You will find that they differ considerably from each other. After getting to know them, then (and only then) are you ready to tailor your pitch to what make them tick…. hope this is helpful to you ….Best regards,
QualityColorado0December 18, 2007 at 7:00 pm #166290Hello, I am a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and happen to come accross this request. If you wish to view articles and other such information, I recommend you visit the following website
http://www.lean.org
As I am sure you are now aware, James Womack wrote Lean Thinking and is considered the US version of the father of Lean. While this website primarily focuses on lean, the mixture of Lean and Six Sigma principles, methods and tools are now getting alittle blury.

As you can guess, “Lean Thinking” by James Womack and Daniel Jones is already in my bibliography!!! I appreciated it very much: I agree with you that it is really an excellent reading about Lean Principles!
Thanks again,

It seems that you ask everbody to help, collecting huge stuff ,and unfortunatly you don’t appreciate or even being able to evaluate .
A unique example of a practical “spoon-fed” case, when no real attempt was taken to grasp the subject.
