    Have the American Automotive manufacturers truly implemented Lean Six Sigma or have they cherry picked tools that they want to use?

    You might do some research on AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) to see what tools they espouse, and what they omit.

    yes,they picked only the qa tools.and most of automotive industry are certified with iso/ts16949.

    @marines – don’t know how you can make such a sweeping statement. The “auto industry” includes the OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and their supply base. I’ve worked in or with each and I can tell you that it varies widely, even within a single company. Some better, some worse. And, cert to TS16949 is NOT LSS.
