0June 9, 2004 at 11:26 pm #101470Hi friends!
There is Motorola University that offers GB and BB certs.Kindly refer : http://www.motorola.com/content/0,,1806-3708-3856,00.html
The motorola cert is a bit more project intensive than ISI and others. You are NOT certified unless you complete a good project. They are coming to chennai on Aug. I am not sure of ‘cost’ factor but I can update that in a while.0June 10, 2004 at 2:35 am #101473You can contact Dr. Shree Nanguneri ([email protected]).
0June 10, 2004 at 5:00 am #101474Cost of Motorola is going to be quite high aroun 2500 USD. Also, i think while studing in college you really will not be able to understand the application of Six Sigma in actual Process. You will gain only theoritical knowledge of Statistics.
0June 10, 2004 at 6:02 am #101475Hi!
Is it 2500USD in India.(appx 1.2 Lacs Rs)???.I had just sent a mail to their head and am awaiting their response.Got an autoresponse that the person incharge is not in town for a week.
Yeah, I agree that class room training is not enough for certification. But, Motorola certifies only after the completion of a project.Find below the FAQ of MU
1) If I successfully complete your Six Sigma training, do I automatically become certified as a Black Belt or Green Belt? As with many professional certifications, Black Belt and Green Belt certifications require:1) Completing the training, 2) Passing a test, and 3) Demonstrating project results.Motorola University offers a certification option in addition to our Black Belt training program.
I also checked the http://www.6sigmau.com and found that “Mike Carnell” is amongst the Panel of experts.
Mike – Can you pls suggest us how this course module in 6sigmau will be?. Would appreaciate your response.0June 10, 2004 at 4:52 pm #101513

MGBS is Dr. Shree Nanguneri. We have been friends and collegues for several years now (I am in an unpaid position on his panel). Dr. Nanguneri is one of my prefered people to use when I need to subcontract business to someone I trust.
I am not sure exactly what you question is. You can contact me off line if you choose – [email protected].

My qualification is M.sc B.Ed (zoology) Is it possible for me to join sixsigma . Itook pure science in 12th std. I like to know basic qualification , fees amount duration of course .please reply.0January 2, 2008 at 5:04 pm #166705I think anyone with a technical/science degree can do six sigma. The only other qualification is enthusiasm and a knowledgable sponsor (for doing a certification project.)
The recent news about the tiger attack in San Francisco certainly tells me there’s room for people with Six Sigma and Zoology backgrounds.
Others can give you prices for Six Sigma courses (I assume by your name you’re in India). But remember, you get what you pay for. A good BB course will cost a few thousand dollars and run 4 weeks, plus the time to complete a project.
