I am in the process of generating a force field analysis for a six sigma project I am working on.  The objective of the force field analysis is line re-balancing.  I have many examples of forces for (advantages) line re-balancing, but I need some ideas on forces against (disadvantages) of line re-balancing.  Does anyone know any disadvantages or problems of line re-balancing?
    Thanks!

    Dear Jeremy,
I agree with you, each coin have two sides, I had finished the six sigma projexts focus on line re-balancing, and motion analysis, but at last I found, for som easy products, it is better to do by single station, that is to say, by one operator, for example, one product, we can arrange four operators, I think the cycle time should not be the same, we have the operation loss certainly, if  we choose the skilled operator to do, it is better than previous arrangement.
Anyway, line balancing is a good way to eliminate the difference of each step, it is the basic concept to design our process.
    Regards,
    Steve
