I am currently setting up an estimation forum, the purpose of which is to assess the projected cost of incoming change requests, and get estimates closer to actual delivery costs.
I have a baseline of historical variance between initial estimate and actual delivery costs for c. 20 pieces of work and, have captured each as % variance from initial estimate.
I have taken my ‘Y’ to be % variance and my ‘x’ is pre/post intervention.
My question is this- given that the Y is a percentage, what test is most appropriate to try and prove the effectiveness of the forum? Alternatively, could you suggest a simple graphical method to illustrate trend?
The forum ‘General’ is closed to new topics and replies.
