    Dr. Vinny,
What a pleasant surprise to hear from you and Muffin.  You are most missed on the Forum and hope all is well and we can look forward to continued contributions of intellect, humor and a random collection of big words, most of which I don’t understand.  Happy and Healthy New Year and would love to see you in SoBe in Feb. BTW, I may be doing some work time in the Bay Area if you want to contact me offline at [email protected] so possibly we could meet up and I can bring along Dr. Barry from the Bench by the Bay.

Dr.D., Just stopped by to say Hi and wish well. You’ll enjoy this; Muffin
and I are very much absorbed in a new undertaking. Working on
integrating behavioral science applications, e.g., solution focused
change, appreciative inquiry and social construction theory with
problem focused business improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean,
Six Sigma, etc., for holistic, concentrated and accelerated
organizational transformation. Doing it as research for a second
PhD, this one in a European research university – much travel
involved, but sure meeting some smart folks. I’m the only one in
this PhD program that’s not a psychologist of one sort or another.
Qualitative research with grounded theory and thematic analysis
versus the quantitative research used in my first dissertation is a
real hoot. Used to really ride the qualitative guys, as being
academic fiction writers, but it’s an art, open-ended Q&A with
    SME’s followed by sense-making codification and analysis…
Wrapped up lit review and well into data gathering and analysis…
figure 2 more years of work needed on it… Consulting pays bills
and provides ready access to an assortment of live businesses as
    laboratories. It all works together.Vinny
