I just purchased Minitab 13 and I am analyzing a designed experiment. It is a 6-factor, 3-level experiment that’s a “modified” orthogonal array. It doesn’t fit a Taguchi Method although the model is balanced. I cut and pasted my data into Minitab, but I could not use one of the DOE models provided.
I was previously using a DOS-based software package called ANOVA-TM. I am trying to determine the % contribution (% rho) of each factor/interaction, but I cannot seem to get this information from the software without doing a hand calculation. I tried to get help from Minitab’s knowledge base, but no luck.
Can anyone help me with this question?0April 30, 2003 at 8:28 pm #62911ADJ is correct that MINITAB will not compute the % contribution. However, running the analysis in Stat > Anova > GLM will give him the variance components necessary for the calculation. You can contact [email protected] for specifics on your data set.

Kevin BazinetParticipant@Kevin-BazinetInclude @Kevin-Bazinet in your post and this person will
be notified via email.Unfortunately Minitab will not allow you to simply cut and paste a DOE. You would need to create the DOE in Minitab. I would suggest that you start by opening Minitab, select Stat>DOE>factorial> create factorial design then hit the help button in the dialog box. Look for the “example” link at the top and it will walk you thru the creation of a DOE. The alternative is to use the data you have put into Minitab and select stat>ANOVA> General Linear Model. Good luck
