First of all, let me thank you for providing this platform. I think it’s a great place to share with other LSS practitioners.

It would be great if you could provide mobile applications (at least for Android and iOS) for site members where they could follow specific posts and comment on them. Is anything like that planned already?

@behdadt Thank you for your feedback. I want to be sure I understand what you are looking for.

Do you really mean an app? (If so, please specify which type interests you.)

Or would a mobile-friendly/dynamically mobile version of the website be acceptable? One in which you could easily signin, look at the forum, post/participate in discussions?

Anything more you can specify about your interests would help us. We’re currently prioritizing our technological focus for 2014 and voice of the customer is a great help to us.

    Thank you!

@KatieBarry – Since I mostly am interested in the forum postings, I would like a Forum app for iSS – read and reply. Thanks for listening.

@MBBinWI Specifically an app? May I ask why an app over a mobile-friendly version? (I’m technologically behind the curve — my phone is “dumb.” I’m not entirely sure what I may be missing hence the possibly dumb question.)

    Also — Android or iOS?

@KatieBarry It’s Android and IOS and NOT BlackBerry. LOL
Hope you had a great holiday season.

@KatieBarry – thanks for listening. I would prefer mobile applications over a mobile friendly webpage since this brings (technically and for the customer) a number of advantages over the mobile friendly webpage. E.g. in the first place with an app you could push notifications on the phones about new posts / replies etc. (besides just sending emails), it is safer (if implemented well), it is even more user friendly (if implemented well) regarding controls etc. etc. But as we all know, each coin has two sides; there are also disadvantages. The main disadvantage of providing apps is the cost (development and maintance)… That was why I was “only” asking for an app for iOS and Android :-) Would be really nice.

With a mobile friendly version you would at least kill two birds with one stone – you would have to implement it once and it should work on many different platforms (if done well).

If you had an app already, I could have replied a lot earlier and take part more actively in discussions since I am always connected to the internet with my phone. And I do not really like to hack around with a forum in a browser on my phone…. it is not comfortable. I think there are a lot of people out there having the same opinion and preferences nowadays.
