Need some advice on MSA issue…want to do an MSA on an event that cannot be replicated. Situation is…cycle time of operators inputting into a system, but cannot delete that input….so I unable to create 5 “mock” events to do an MSA. Any suggestions….other than my other thought of possibly video taping 5 events…and watching them for the MSA.

Another approach is to create a mock system that responds like the real one. But then the “repeatability” variation is still made up of measurement variation and short-term process variation. Fact is, cycle time of a process is inherently a “destructive” measure. You can still have two or more people measure the event and get reproducibility.0 -
