Some references advise using nested anova in analyzing destructive GRR studies? What is the rationale behind it? Why can’t I use crossed ANOVA even if I can create “pseudo replicates”??
Thanks0March 2, 2006 at 10:53 pm #134560I have competed several destructive R&R’s in the past. You have 2 options
Use the Wheeler control chart method. There is a paper on this I obtaied from the web before, but am unable to locate it at the moment. Do a web search. I found it pretty good
The easier option is to use the std method in minitab. If your R&R comes out low your gauge should be acceptabe as the total R&R will include within part variation, this should obviously be zero but won’t be as the parts are destroyed.Your true R&R will actually be lower then this.
Unfortunately both methods require homogeneous parts so be careful when selecting them.
good luck0April 10, 2006 at 3:26 pm #136192Hey there!
……I’am looking for someone that has experience in destructive GRR on powders. You don’t happen to make the GRR on a powder or similar….?0 -
