Unfortunately, at this time steel workshops are exempt from using six sigma because of their long history of efficiency and quality. As for color, it is common practice amongst six sigma professionals to choose a belt color that matches their office.

0February 10, 2009 at 12:28 am #180924I disagree vehemently with Darth. You should choose a belt color that goes well with your hair. Your office is far too temporary to use for colorization.

I assume that this means you have a pink belt? Or is it purple? Or orange?
Obi0February 10, 2009 at 8:19 am #1809361. Not. Anyone who take 3.4 dpmo seriously has rocks in his head.

just i want to know how to start0February 10, 2009 at 10:48 am #1809411, Yes
2, I would start at Green and work upwards, this is not for the belt but it should give you the level of training you’ll need to find out if you can do the roll or not. What you will need though is a Black belt mentor.0February 10, 2009 at 10:56 am #1809431. yes, construction industry steel needs six sigma2. safety belt
0February 10, 2009 at 11:28 am #180946You need SS

In both Lean and Six Sigma endevour you must approach it by Top Down approach method. If the initiative is done the other way your program bound to fail. Making that statement, to have sucess you must advocate and train several belts needed to support your program. In my company we have a Green Belt training available to whoever wants to take it. By having the training available throughout the facility it helps them to understand what is Lean and Six Sigma about and what it can do for them especially in their area.
I normally conduct the training for the our facility. Several of my colleagues in other facility have a step program. These steps starting from the “Yellow belts” and then to “Green Belts”. But I incorporate both in my Green Belt training. Even though the training is available to everybody, I still recruit personnel that I know will make the impact in the project just like picking your best player from group.
Remember it is a team approach and you must train several Green Belts to help you drive this program in order to be successful.
Good Luck.
