I used OA’s during software development many times. I helped a friend in India to apply OA’s in his test environment. Like some others here I’m an eager advocate of Dr. Taguchi’s parameter design to improve products and processes quickly (parameter design made OA’s widely known). My conclusion: software development and software testing have a different beat and there are better approaches to obtain breathtaking results quickly and reliably.
On one hand there still are situations to benefit from using OA’s during the SW-design cycle. On the other hand posting those in this forum may not be the best way to share it.
Sumant, may I ask you a critical question? Is your management willing to spend on me, so that you can add value quickly to your company’s products? I’d be happy to do so.
Hope to hear from you soon.0December 5, 2005 at 9:26 am #64139Hi,

I have used Orthogonal Array in software testing successfully in many projects.
Infact i have deployed and institutionalized OA based Test Design in my company.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding OA based test case generation.
Thanks & Regards,
Mannu
