I  would  suggest  Villanova U. as  well. It  does  not  mean that 6sigma.us is  not creditable(both  are  good),you  may  want  to  compare  the  prices and  the  duration  as  well..
They  would  ask you  to  complete  a  virtual  project (w/Minitab) although  they  are  giving  some  important  hints on  how  to  use  the  minitab

IMHO, virtual projects only help you get the theory of LSS. A belt doesn’t have a lot of credibility until he/she’s completed a real project in a real business setting. There’s waaaaay more to completing a successful project than being real good with Minitab. In fact, you can complete good projects without ever using minitab. I’ve seen it myself :)

    Agree.
But  don’t  undermine  the  importance  of  the  virtual  project  as  it  may  teach  you “how  to  use  the SS-tools ? and  specially  the  advanced  tools like DEO ,Hypothesis test, etc.” much  better  than  an actual project ,specially  if  you  don’t find  a  good mentor who  can  guide or  advise you.

Mike, it depends on your objectives for use of the knowledge.
If you are looking for “certification” (whatever that is) then you are on the right track.
If you are looking for knowledge to enhance your performance in your present job (or another one you may seek) – then you can buy comprehensive BB training matls in eBooks on this site for $100 and teach yourself the DMAIC process. If you decide to seek “certification” beyond that you can comply with the requirements of ASQ.
All depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

e-learning like that is a waste of time and money … it’s known as “page turning” software … just keep clicking a button to go to the next page.  You can read 30% faster on paper than on a screen !
If you are going to use e-learning, find something that is more interactive.

i think online learning should only been seen as a way to teach people to do jobs that are computer programmable lyk.if it cant hurt why wouldnt it make it better, and besides the internet is for searching for information, like a phone book it is kinda like looking into the window of stores from,., home,., a comuter network of teaching is going to make us,., an ( outside talk to each other world,) i have no control to help you becuase i havent aways been here kind thing”so if we can learn on the computer why write things to teach them just draw pictures except when clocking out of DIGITALL work?

I have done my LSS Blackbelt training via Moresteam.com and found it extermely effective. Of course there is the downside of no interaction with class mates but i found that the flexibility as to when i “studied” so much better. The content and MiniTab examples and problems was also very good. The other upside is that i’m in Australia and my company’s courses are held mostly in the US, so travel & accomodation savings were considerable.

I  said  that the  virtual BB project  can  be  very  helpful, specially  in regard to  teaching advanced  statistical  tools ,such  as  DOE,Hypothesis  Testing, etc. So  go  for  it and  don’t  undermine  its value.
