    Hello,

If you were to make a report to senior management on the current processes of your company what would be the minimum requirements? (I wouldn’t like to be caught up in a lot of statistical detail)

    My thoughts are:

    Histogram

    1 Total data points
    2 Mean
    3 Sigma
    4 Ppk
    5 Z-upper
    6 Z-lower
7 Estimated % out of SL
    8 Distribution type
    9 Fit Test type
    10 Fit
    11 p-value

    Control Chart

    1 Total data points
    2 Mean
    3 Sigma
    4 USL
    5 LSL
    6 UCL
    7 LCL

Do you think this should suffice?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Way too much.  If you don’t want to get caught up in the statistics, then don’t go into the statistics. The histogram and control chart will probably suffice.  A flowchart might help too.  Identifying non-value added possibilities or defect points in the process might be good as well.
If you ever tell an uninformed ceo about an f-test or a distribution fit, you’ve lost.  Keep it simple.
