    Hi all-
My team (a forensic DNA laboratory at Oregon State Police) just competed a LSS project. We are currently using two huge dry erase boards for our production boards (to track where in the process our casework is), but would love to use something electronic. Is anyone aware of production board software?
    Thanks, Stephenie

    Hi Stephenie,

Have you looked at Trello.com? It’s an online Kanban board that allows you to track “to do”, “doing” and “done” work on electronic cards.

Each card has a title, description, attachments, and you can assign then to people and label them with colors, due dates and tags.

Instead of the typical Kanban flow of three steps, and then prioritizing each card from top to bottom, you can actually create your process flow (e.g., step 1, step 2, step 3, etc.) and then track each card through the process.

Trello allows you to do this visually. For iSixSigma development, we use Asana.com — which is more of a list view, but I think they recently launched a visual workflow option as well, so you might want to check that out too.

Hope that helps. If I misunderstood what you were looking for, please clarify and I might have another suggestion.

    Best,
    Michael
